Dr. OwisoOwiso is an international lawyer whose primary interests and areas of practice are legal and legislative drafting, public international law, international criminal law, international arbitration and dispute settlement, international organisations, democratisation, governance, human rights, and transitional justice. He has experience working with international organisations/courts, advising non-governmental organisations, and advising and conducting training for national and county governments.

Dr Owiso is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Commissioner for Oaths, a Notary Public, a Patent Agent, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (MCIArb), and an Affiliate Member of the International Criminal Court Bar Association. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (Nairobi), a Master of Laws degree (Pretoria), a Master of Advanced Studies degree (Geneva & Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, IHEID), and a PhD in Public International Law (Luxembourg).
